AFO CHOIR AND G CHOIR"S CHARITY, For The Love Of Gospel

Dear All, We trust this message finds you well We want to keep you informed as vital contributors to our vision and charitable initiatives. Our newly launched choir charity is now fully operational, and we're reaching out to inquire if you might consider making a donation to help us build momentum. We understand that this time of year can be challenging for many, so please feel free to disregard this email if contributing isn't possible for you right now. More info Can you help us make a difference in your local community? Our very own charity For The Love Of Gospel (reg charity no 1204793) wants to create a chain reaction of health, wellbeing, and confidence that can be life-changing in a child’s life, and we’ve already seen the results! In a system where the arts are increasingly hit by a lack of funding, please help us hit the right note and provide accessible uplifting musical opportunities to many of our children with extremely limited access to the arts. Our charity's inaugural project, “Sing for Joy Part 1,” is a dream we want to make a reality for around 2000 kids across East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. To get there, we need the support of our amazing community. Our aim is to raise £25,000 to ensure every child can participate, at no cost, and your donation, big or small, will be the key to unlocking a world of music for many children in our regions. Let’s create a symphony of generosity and make a lasting impact together. Your donation could change the world! Please watch our video above for more information. Road Home composed by Stephen Paulus in honour of our service men and women.

Road Home by Stephen Paulus in honour of our service men and women. We say "Thank you for your service and We will remember them"! The decision to perform "Road Home" by Stephen Paulus for The Royal British Legion in honor of British veterans was a deeply heartfelt one for the AFO Choir. We recognized that this song's poignant and reflective lyrics conveyed the emotions that many veterans might carry with them throughout their lives. The lyrics of "Road Home" spoke of a journey, a quest to find one's place and to return to a sense of belonging. We believed that this sentiment resonated with the experiences of the brave men and women who had served in the British armed forces. Many veterans may have embarked on their own journeys during their service, facing hardships and sacrifices along the way. "Road Home" symbolized the longing for a place to call their own, mirroring the desire to return to the familiar after years of service. The imagery of the song, with references to the wind, rain, and the calling from far away, painted a vivid picture of the challenges and aspirations of those who served. The lyrics inspired the idea that, just as the song beckoned with the words, "Rise up, follow me, I will lead you home," the choir wished to convey our gratitude and respect for the service of these veterans. By choosing "Road Home" to sing for The Royal British Legion, we hoped to pay homage to the sacrifices and the journey that British veterans had taken. This song became a heartfelt tribute, a reminder of the enduring love and support that surrounds them, and a symbol of the way back to a place of honor, respect, and recognition for their service.
