Yet when it comes to joining a choir, it can feel like pulling teeth to get men through the door. And maybe part of the problem is the word itself. “Choir” can sound formal or intimidating – it brings to mind robes, hymn books, auditions, or the idea that you need to sing like Pavarotti.
